Creative Artefact - 9 Key Frames

This photo is at the part of my script where Mary and Howard are entering Lacuna Inc before they begin the memory loss procedure, this suits my Macro of style because the idea of hyper reality will later be presented during the procedure through visual editing/visual effects.

This photo is just before Mary will undergo the memory loss procedure this scene will consist of a conversation between Mary and Howard which will demonstrate the idea that they had a previous relationship. Style is presented through the dialogue between Mary and Howard as it will be stylised.

This scene is where Mary is now undergoing the memory loss procedure and she does not recognise Howard's face and follows him to find out who he is, this reinforces my MACRO and the idea of hyper reality because the memory loss procedure is working conveyed through stylised acting.

This scene involves the first memory that Mary walks past and notices, the black and white effect on the other Mary and Howard to represent the idea of a memory as well as the blurred face of Howard, the blurred photos in the background and the dark lighting represents my MACRO and the idea of hyper reality through visual effects.

This is another shot of the scene after Mary leaves this memory, the blurred background represents the idea of a fading memory as well as the black and white effect, Howard's blurred face and the blurred photo of Howard and Hollis reinforces my MACRO and the idea of hyper reality through visual effects.

This scene involves another one of Mary's memories as she watches her affair with Howard, the idea of a memory is presented through the black and white effect, the idea of hyper reality as well as my MACRO of style is presented through Howard's blurred face, created through visual effects.

This scene involves Mary now moving through what she can remember of Lacuna Inc. She is confused and screams at Howard but she cannot remember who she is, my MACRO is portrayed through the stylised dialogue in my script and the idea of hyper reality is portrayed through the darkened corridor as well as the fact that she cannot remember who Howard is.

After Mary shouts at Howard he shuts the corridor doors and stares at her. My MACRO as well as the idea of hyper reality is portrayed through Howard's blurred out face which was created through visual effects.

This Scene involves Mary remembering what she was doing before this which was going in to the memory loss procedure and as she realises her dream begins to crumble and she cries because she wants to hold on to the memories of Howard but she knows that that is impossible and that is how the scene ends with the dream ending which reinforces my MACRO and the idea of hyper reality.

  1. Screen ration & framing - widescreen not portrait.
To improve: trim your images to make the ratio correct - bedroom shot, need to redo.
Retake the OSS of dinner - too much space in the composition, this is applying your skills as a camera operator.
Same with the window in the dark room - too dark, what am i supposed to see? How can you control the lighting to create the shapes/shadow you want but still see?
The light at the top of the frame needs editing as do the door frames.
She needs to be watching herself - she is on colour, they are in B&W
